Documentary - Ashhudh
FIRST OF ITS KIND IN BIHAR,
Our documentary film, Ashhudh has been conceptualized, shot, edited and launched within 15 days. It highlights the issue of menstrual stigma and menstrual hygiene management (MHM) problems in Bhagalpur, Bihar where our campaign is based. The film has been shot entirely in urban locations to emphasize that the need for sanitation facilities and requirement of menstrual awareness exist in urban areas, not just in rural areas.
About 'Privilege Walk'
We carried out this activity in Bhagalpur in October in an effort to raise consciousness of menstruation and lessen the stigma associated with it. We also wanted to know how people felt about the subject of menstruation. It includes learning about various historical goods, how they are made, and accessibility issues.
All about 'Sammaan'
Sammaan cloth pads donation drive was initiated by The Happy Turtle, in collaboration with Alharh. Through Sammaan, we hope to provide Unmukt Reusable Sanitary Napkins, a cost-effective and environmentally friendly menstrual product, to menstruators in Bihar's vulnerable communities so they can handle their periods in safety, comfort, and dignity. This program was launched on March 8, 2021, International Women's Day. By the end of June, we had distributed more than 100 kits after receiving an overwhelmingly positive reaction from donors and supporters.
Introducing SquareONE
Introducing our new series, Square One in which we host riveting conversations with fellow menstrual activists and founders who have inspired us in our journey. We discuss leadership in grassroots, compassion in activism, periods for people in prostitution and shelter homes, indigenous menstrual rituals, and much more.
